The road to the divorce between Angeline Jolie and Brad Pitt was a long one, with the two having officially settled the end of their marriage in late 2024. A source close to Jolie opens up about where the actor stands on having a relationship, or if she’s already moved on with someone new.
The source told People that the Maleficent actor has been too busy focusing on her work to worry about a relationship. Above all, Jolie has focused on her six children, Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Zahara, 21, Shiloh, 19, and 17-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
“Angie has been extremely busy and focused for the past few years. Dating hasn’t been important to her. She hasn’t had a boyfriend,” said the source. “She’s pretty much been a single mom since the divorce, so that’s where most of her focus has been.”
Jolie’s attention on family has always been noted throughout her career, with the source saying she “loves” being a mom. She’s focused on wanting “to make sure that everyone thrives.”

Pitt and Jolie were a notorious A-list couple who met on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2005, while both were married to other people at the time. The couple began dating, with Pitt having later adopted Jolie’s eldest son Maddox, whom she adopted from Cambodia in 2002. They eventually married in 2014 and divorced two years later, citing irreconcilable differences and the split stemming from a supposed in-flight incident between Pitt and her children.
What followed was one of Hollywood’s longest and most complex divorce proceedings as the two disputed the custody arrangement and shared assets. Their divorce was officially finalized in 2024, with Jolie not publicly appearing in a new relationship since.
Pitt, on the other hand, was speculated to have been with a few women over the years since the divorce. He began dating jewelry executive Ines de Ramos in November 2022.
